Well, that’s what I felt when I read Glass Frost. It’s like all the things that I love was put into one. This series right here is the reason why I love fairytales again and it made me love it even more. Glass Frost by Liz DeJesus is the crème of the crop when it comes to fairytale mash-ups.A week after what happened in First Frost, Terrance came to the mortal world to tell Bianca that the Queen Felicia of EverAfter wanted to speak to her about an important matter. So along with her side-kick/ best friend, Ming and her knight in shining armor, Terrance, Bianca went to EverAfter again to meet the Queen. There she was presented with a mission; to retrieve one of Cinderella’s glass slippers and prevent the other one from being stolen. You see, Cinderella’s glass slippers have the ability to grant its wearer’s desire. That’s why it’s pretty lethal if it went into the wrong hands. And that's the start of another awesome adventure that will test not only Bianca's ability in witchcraft but also her desicion-making skills and her willingness to sacrifice and to do everything in her power to protect the people cared about. It's evident that Bianca's character here has matured not only in her craft but also as a teenager. She still commits mistakes and dive into trouble head first but she's more responsible now, she thinks about her actions and how it would affect the people around her. She also proved to me once again how brave and selfless she was when she led the bad guys away from the mortal world and into EverAfter to protect her mother. The rest of the gang, Terrance, Ming and Prince Ferdinand, also got matured especially Prince Ferdinand who showed a great deal of his leadership skills and justness while in their journey. But Ming was not so sure if she can handle the stress of long distance relationship with Prince Ferdinand. Ming was also scared to death of the idea of becoming the next queen of EverAfter especially after she experienced the torture of wearing a corset. Meanwhile, Terrance and Bianca's relationship is still going strong and after what they had been through in this mission, it's going to be much much stronger. My favorite part of the story was when Bianca and the others, met three of the seven dwarves. It was a bittersweet meeting. It's twenty different kinds of awesome, if I may use Ming's signature dialogue. But it was also kind of sad because they all waited for Snow White to comeback but she never did because she was captured by Lenore. And when they saw Bianca they thought she was Snow because of their resemblance but they were disappointed when they realized the truth. The way that they talk about the memories that they had with Snow White, makes me so emotional. I can clearly hear the longing in their voices while they reminisce the past and it's really breaking my heart. I'm just comforted with the fact that they will soon see her and that they are eager for that day to finally come.Overall, this is a really great read! If you love everything about fairytale, you will definitely enjoy this one. And if you think your fairytale belief has died a long time ago, then this book will revive that. I'll certify this as a MUST-READ and highly recommended to everyone.
